The 2012 Sauvignon Blanc is a compelling wine with intense and inviting aromas invoking the clean notes of fresh citrus blooms after rain. This wine is grounded in the familiar character of new apricots, ripe nectarine and grapefruit peel. It’s made serious and savory by hints of bouillon, freshly ground coriander seeds and dried lavender stems. Wet stone and flint highlight the entry giving this vibrant wine lovely depth and character. Fermented in stainless steel barrels and used and new French oak, the wine rings clear, un-muddled and well-delineated. Despite (or perhaps because of) its bright acidity, it finishes with an undeniable richness that’s satisfyingly long.
